Fratelli Paradiso - Potts Point, NSW

me last day in sydney
was thinking of going somewhere new, but decided it was only appropriate to do saturday like we always do saturday... late brunch in potts point followed by a visit to arida & bo...

affogatto
my favourite perth past time... here in a fancier presentation... i only poured less than half of the liquor and it was a lil too strong first thing in the morning...

potato dough
best bread anywhere... what wheat intolerance? this is well worth the irritable bowel thing.. hauhaha

prosciutto pizza
a lil oilier than i'd like it to be... but the freshness balanced it out...yes, i dabbed tissue on my food...

calamari with rockets
a must order every single time... also one of the few permanent in the menu

homemade ribbon pasta with lamb ragu
the pasta is simply beautiful, the lamb ragu got a lil too much after a few mouthful but the whole dish seem to be what i imagine someone would have in an italian household...

pan-fried tuna with broccoli flower
cooked tuna i never my pick, always a tad too dry and hard to swallow...

Rating: 8/10

big thanks to andri who forked the bill and also to andri's mum for suggesting it

Il Fagiano - Potts Point, New South Wales

was in the area and decided we want to try something else other than our usual Fratelli Paradiso... not that we're tired of that place... just thought we should spread our wings a lil..

so like any spontaneous person out there... we stepped into the first cafe we see... another little Italian cafe-bistro that see to be bustling with the locals and their dogs...

Affogatto & Latte
coupled with the paper... ok fine... it was the gossip page...

Sweet Corn Fritters with Bacon, Tomatoes and Spinach
what was i thinking ordering something i knew Bills do best? It was not sweet enough, not crispy enough... basically lacking in every aspects... Bills anyone?

Grilled Wild Mushroom with Ricotta and Turkish Toast
this was nice... now that i think about it.. it was vegetarian? hmm... yumm...

White Egg Omelets with Turkish Toast
yes it was as tasteless as it sound/look

lets stick to Fratelli Paradiso next time...
although... the table next to us had the banana pancakes that looks yummy...

Fratelli Paradiso - Potts Point

bring your best listening ear when you come... menus only available in italian.. waiter speaks with an accent... you get the picture... its nice to get lost here sometimes... locals are out and about with dogs and prams...

Bread
warm, chewy and tasted like potatoes... which is how i like my bread...

Calamari with Rocket Salad
this was on every table that i could see... best yet

Gnocchi with Broccoli and Ricotta

Campari Pannacotta with Pineapple
bit weird and bitter... but i finished it anyway... lol
