worth going just to see the whole "village" concept of the place...
the place is pretty to look at, serves up pretty authentic food, waiters were courteous although a lil dumb... (which part of no ice, no sugar dont they get?? they mixed up the drink order twice...)
be prepared to take off your shoes and sit on the floor...

no food names / descriptions?
is it better than The Valley?
no food names... cause i simply cant remember... its all along the lines of nasi liwet, nasi bakar, rawon, soto.... the usual indonesian fare that you could probably find a better version elsewhere... but here you get mostly the atmosphere and the wider range of choices...
dont think its particularly fair to be compared to the valey since this one serves up indonesian food while the valley serves up the very confused version of surf and turf where waiter kept pushing the most expensive piece of meat which when eaten all i can think of is that the cow's been slaughtered for no reason....
both place though is a nightmare when it comes to seating.. you have to sit on the floor in kampung daun... the valey uses these wrought iron garden chairs....
if i have to choose... definitely kampung daun!
there's a lot more places to visits in Bandung.. have you been to 'pak chi met' yet?
n if you don't really comfortable in in the Valley, how bout Stone cafe? it's serves almost the same confused version of surf n turf.. but i must say.. better serving & seating.. :)
